In this tutorial I break down the steps that help me create numerous variations when posing a subject. Certainly posing isn’t just formulaic, that being said, I’ve found that I approach posing and creating unique images with a process. After a great deal of practice, this process is instantaneous— I’m not counting and checking off the steps in my mind, but instead smoothly transition between them as I shoot.
I’ve found that this 10 step process helps me to repeatedly create endless variations in my resulting shots for a portrait session without having to memorize hundreds of poses. Now, I’ll share my approach with you!
